I just found a cool web service called Twitterfeed that reads the RSS feed of my blog site and, with my permission, posts the most recent x-number of posts to Twitter and Facebook at a scheduled time interval from 30 minutes to 24 hours. I like the concept, because it means that I can work in my blog and have it help feed my social profiles; and hopefully it will make it easier for my social contacts to keep up with my blog. This will be the first post to test the functionality of Twitterfeed. If you like this idea or even use it yourself, please leave me a comment to let me know if this is a good idea!

It took me a few days of playing around with settings to get the site ready for action, and I’m now ready to start writing! This is just a brief post to show that the system is working. I am using WordPress 2.9.2, and so far it is fantastic. I’m looking forward to learning about WP as I progress with this project.
